WHAT IS THE CPSU?
The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) is the national union for public sector workers. It comprises State and Commonwealth groups.
The South Australian Branch for employees of the SA public sector is the CPSU, State Public Services Federation (SPSF Group) SA Branch.
We are the largest white-collar union in the state. We represent employees from government departments, statutory authorities, universities and some outsourced enterprises providing services on behalf of the state government.
What this means for you
It’s important that SA state public sector employees are part of the national standards and systems that impact on wages and conditions.
You belong to both the PSA (state registered) and the CPSU (SPSF Group – federally registered). This ensures your voice is heard at all levels.
A national structure for state public sector unions provides increased lobbying power and better resources.
Financial members of the CPSU (SPSF Group) SA Branch are also members of the Public Service Association of SA Inc (PSA).
