TO ALL PSA SCHOOL SERVICES OFFICERS

The PSA continually works to develop better means of communicating with and providing services to  SSOs.

Currently the PSA communicates with members through:

Regular Briefs and Updates

SSO News - The PSA would appreciate any ideas from SSOs on how to improve the SSO News and would encourage SSOs to contribute any articles of interest.  IT'S YOUR NEWSLETTER - PLEASE CONTRIBUTE.

Emails- Emails are a quick method of communicating with thosemembers who have access to email.  Please email the PSA on kjm@cpsu.asn.au with details of your email address and any changes to classification or location.

PSA Review - The PSA Review is published 6 times per year andprovides information to members on activities right across the membership.  Like the SSO Newsletter, SSO members can put forward contributions to the Review.

The PSA conducts regular training courses for members and representatives. You are eligible to attend on paid leave, seperate from recreation leave or flex-time. Details are here.

If you have ideas about training courses would be of assistance to SSO's again, please let us know.

The most effective form of communication with your Union is through PSA Worksite Reps and contacts. It is imperative that the PSA has Worksite reps and Contacts in EVERY school to ensure information is flowing to all members.  This is particularly important with issues such as conversion of contract SSOs to permanent, Local Management issues, workload issues, health care management to name just a few.  If you do not have a PSA worksite representative or PSA contact person in your school, please give this serious consideration.  It is not a complicated process to ensure access to information.  Contact the PSA and a simple form will be sent to you to complete.

For further information please contact PSA Industrial Officer, Kerrin Martin  Phone 8205 3292 or email: kjm@cpsu.asn.au
