Breastscreen SA Proposed Restructure

24 October 2017

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network has proposed realignment of Breastscreen SA (BSSA) so that South Australian Medical Imaging (SAMI) provide operational and clinical governance for the service.

The proposed model is primarily a change in reporting lines and change to accountability for the program for senior clinical and allied health staff in leadership positions. It is anticipated that there would be minimal impact to non-leadership positions as a result of the proposed model.

The FTE count is the same in the current and proposed models.

There is now a four-week consultation period calling for your opinion, comments and suggestions. The consultation is open until close of business Monday 20 November, 2017.

Members are encouraged to provide comments formally, with a copy to the PSA. If you would prefer to comment anonymously please forward to the PSA by the close of business Friday 17 November 2017 so that the union can present collectively on your behalf.

The PSA will organise an on-site meeting for members and those interested to support the PSA to discuss the proposals in more detail. A Meeting Notice will be circulated with the meeting arrangements.

The PSA strongly supports members to ensure that all parties have the genuine opportunity to contribute effectively to the decision making process as per the Enterprise Agreement.
