Have Your Say: Consultation on WHS Issue Resolution Procedure

10 April 2018

The procedure for resolving Work Health and Safety (WHS) issues arising in the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is open for consultation. This consultation period gives members an opportunity to help shape the process for all parties involved in resolving WHS issues. A copy of the proposed procedure can be found here.

Members are entitled to raise WHS issues with their elected Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) as well as the PSA. It is important that this policy is read in conjunction with the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and South Australian Modern Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2017.

Members can send feedback to the PSA by Thursday 19 April 2018.

Members should have access to information relating to who their elected Health and Safety Representative is, or if their workgroup does not have one. Members can ask the PSA to help facilitate the election of a Health and Safety Representative.

Members who are Health and Safety Representatives in DPTI are encouraged to consider nominating to become PSA Worksite Representatives. Worksite Representatives are entitled to attend training in paid time at the PSA and is another great way to support your colleagues. PSA members interested in the becoming a Worksite Representative are encouraged to contact their PSA Organiser.
