Legal Services Commission – Review Classification Structure

13 June 2018

As part of your new enterprise agreement, the Public Service Association (PSA) negotiated for a review of the classification structure for Administrative Stream employees at the Legal Services Commission (LSC).

Clause 39 of the South Australian Modern Public Sector Agreement: Salaried 2017 provides for various reviews.

In particular, clause 39.1.4 of the Agreement provides that:

‘The parties agree to review the classification structure of Administrative Stream employees in the Legal Services Commission within twelve months of the approval of this Enterprise Agreement.’

The PSA is providing the Office for the Public Sector (OPS) with a submission on the review to answer two questions from the CPSE:

  •  In relation to the classification structure of Administrative Stream employees at the LSC; and
  •  about any other matter you consider relevant under clause 39.1.4.

It is critical that the PSA understands the current employment status of all members within the LSC. To assist in building our understanding and ensure the best outcomes, we ask that all members complete the online survey (here).

While the review clause refers to ASO stream employees, the PSA is interested in feedback around classification issues from members from all classification streams. ASO and members from other classifications can provide feedback in relation to this review by email by close of business 15 June 2018. Sue is the responsible officer for this review.

Your PSA Organiser will be out and about discussing this review with members in the coming weeks.
