Professional and Administrative Enterprise Agreement Approved

07 October 2016

The enterprise agreement covering professional and administrative staff at the Adelaide Festival Centre has recently been approved in the Industrial Relations Commission.

Negotiations and discussions began in November 2014 and continued through until June 2016.

Members should be proud of their Workplace Representatives who remained focussed throughout on achieving an agreement which protected the interests of PSA members. The PSA is the only union party to this agreement.

The key elements of the enterprise agreement are as follows:

  • It is a separate agreement for Professional and Administrative staff

  • There are three pay rises of 2.5% per annum – due from November 2014, 2015, 2016

  • The agreement nominally expires on 30 June 2017 (the previous agreement nominally expired on 31 October 2014)

  • Redeployment, retraining and redundancy provisions generally reflect those achieved in the public sector

  • Entitlement to redeployment to the public sector has been established

  • Confirmation that the agreement applies to employees in the former classifications of P&A7 and P&A8 (now AFCT Job Grades 7-10)

  • No conditions were reduced or lost

  • A number of other improvements to employment conditions including maternity leave, taxi arrangements after hours, and other matters

With the agreement now approved members will be receiving their back pay.

Congratulations are due to our PSA Workplace Representatives and to those PSA members who supported them. For those employees yet to join the PSA – now is the time join your colleagues in protecting and enhancing your conditions at work together.
