PSA Members Table Counter Proposal to Country Fire Service

07 June 2017

At the recent member meeting where the offer from the Chief Officer of CFS in relation to leave accrual, was tabled to members (here), the resounding position was that the offer was way off the mark in being a meaningful attempt to address this very complex matter.

As a result the members unanimously endorsed the tabling of a counter offer that better reflected the clear knowledge the CFS has had for a number of years regarding the mess surrounding leave and the operational status of employees.

To see the full letter written to the Chief Officer on behalf of PSA members please click (here).

The PSA has made it clear that should the Chief Officer contemplate again imposing a reduction of accrued leave on those affected the dispute matter will be re-lodged in the SA Industrial Relations Commission.

The PSA thanks members for their ongoing determination to resolve this matter and will keep you advised of developments.
