PSA MEMBERS WIN!! - SAET Recommends Tender Process Cease

21 July 2017

The South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) has found that the Department of Health breached the consultation provisions of the Enterprise Agreement and has recommended that it cease all activities in relation to the tender process for outsourcing Outpatients Medical Imaging at the new RAH for at least the next four weeks.

The SAET (formerly the SA Industrial Relations Commission) considered that the Department should have complied with the consultation requirements of the enterprise agreement before calling for expressions of interest externally.

The Tribunal recommended that the Department immediately enter into genuine consultation with the PSA.

The outcome of the PSA’s application to SAET represents a big win for PSA members and justifies the PSA lodging our dispute with the Tribunal.

The full Statement and Recommendations from the SAET Commissioner can be found (here).

The PSA will keep members informed along every step of the process.
