The PSA has now received the draft Translation Guide pack of documents for the Allied Health Assistants Stream from the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment’s Office, comprising

* For this Translation process this must be an assessment process.

The consultation period closes at COB, 7 June 2018. To enable the PSA to respond to OPS, please send your feedback by email.

The PSA has already raised a number of inaccuracies within these documents, including that the Draft Translation Guide needs to have up front clear information about the translation process and that this is an assessment process not a reclassification.

It is critical that the PSA understands the current employment status of affected members. To assist in building our understanding and ensure the best outcomes, we ask that affected members complete our online survey.

There is still time to complete the survey if you have not already done so.

The enterprise agreement requires that a review and transition to the new AHA stream be undertaken within six months of the approval of the agreement. The earliest date for translation, noting that the translation arrangements do not apply until the first pay period on or after the prescribed period ( 31 July 2018), is 6 August 2018.

Full details, including the Allied Health Assistant work level definitions and transition arrangements, are contained in Appendix 10 of the South Australian Modern Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2017 (available here).
