The PSA Continues Consulting

10 July 2017

The PSA Consultative Group, composed of both PSA members and PSA officials, will commence consulting directly with SA Pathology on the ‘updated’ SA Pathology Proposed Operational Configuration and Workforce Model from Thursday 13 July 2017.

This first meeting is expected to confirm the PSA’s expectations for ongoing genuine and meaningful consultation as well as a raise some of the general themes of concerns with the current proposal.

It is vitally important members continue to provide detailed feedback to the PSA. The PSA will be seeking a detailed response to our submission. SA Pathology's response will then be distributed to all members in line with our commitment to ensure ongoing genuine and meaningful consultation

Our current Enterprise Agreement defines consultation as the sharing of information and the genuine exchange of views between all persons or bodies that must be consulted and the genuine opportunity for them to contribute effectively to any decision making process.

In addition SA Pathology has a primary duty of care and a duty to consult to ensure the health and safety of all SA Pathology workers with the introduction of any of the proposed changes.

Through this process the PSA and our members will continue to work to protect SA Pathology jobs.

Members can email feedback and questions to PSA here.
