Senior PSA officials met with the newly appointed Premier The Hon. Jay Weatherill on Monday 14th November.

The PSA was represented by President Lindsay Oxlad, General Secretary Jan McMahon, Assistant General Secretary Nev Kitchin, Chief Industrial Officer Peter Christopher and Senior Industrial Officer Josie Barbaro. 

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss with the new Premier some broad issues of concern to PSA members. The following issues were discussed:

    Role of Public Sector and Proper Resourcing

    Workforce Planning

    Future Wages and Conditions Agreement

    Mid-Year Budget Review


The Premier indicated he looked forward to building a respectful relationship with the PSA and agreed to hold regular meetings. The PSA welcomes open and transparent communication with the Premier and will continue to report progress of these issues to members.
