ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT CERTIFIED 21 December 2006 The South Australian Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2006 was certified today. ENTERPRISE BARGAINING AGREEMENT TO BE CERTIFIED 20 December 2006 Jan McMahon, PSA General Secretary, has signed the South Australian Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2006 on behalf of PSA members. PSA 2006 CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 20 December 2006 The PSA continued to provide industrial representation for members in 2006, gaining significant achievements. NEW PROFESSIONAL STRUCTURE WAS ALWAYS TO BE REVIEWED 19 December 2006 On 12 December 2006 the PSA restated that the classification criteria for the Professional Stream (PO) and Medical Scientists (MeS) as proposed by government were always to be reviewed. ENTERPRISE BARGAINING CONFIRMATION OF BALLOT 12 December 2006 The PSA has received confirmation from the State Electoral Office of the ballot result for the SA Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2006. NEW PROFESSIONAL STRUCTURE TO BE IMPLEMENTED 12 December 2006 Following on from the resounding "YES" vote from government employees for the 2006 Enterprise Agreement, the new structure for those in the Professional Stream and Medical Scientists will soon be implemented, back-dated to the 1st pay day on or after the 1st October 2006. ENTERPRISE BARGAINING - OVERWHELMING YES VOTE 11 December 2006 The ballot for the South Australian Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement closed at 9.00 am Friday, 8 December. NOVITA C. A. BALLOT - 66% NO VOTE 11 December 2006 The vote count of the Novita management offer through a Employee Collective Agreement showed that of 195 valid votes counted, 130 were "NO", 65 were "YES". PSA MEETS MINISTER WEATHERILL 7 December 2006 Earlier today, PSA President Lindsay Oxlad, General secretary Jan McMahon, Assistant General Secretary Nev Kitchin, Industrial Officers Simon Johnson and Steve Acton met with the Hon. Jay Weatherill, Minister Assisting the Premier in Cabinet Business and Public Sector Management. DISABILITY SERVICES REFORM TASK FORCE 7 December 2006 The PSA has attended the first Disability Services Reform Task Force meeting. NEW RANGERS FOR GREATER PARK PROTECTION 1 December 2006 The PSA is pleased to note that the State Government has committed an extra $3.67 million over 4 years to fund 20 new Ranger positions. RALLY SUCCESS 30 November 2006 Earlier today, a rally was held in Elder Park as part of the Nationwide protest against the Howard Government's repressive Industrial Relations laws. SHARED SERVICES PRINCIPLES MEETING 28 November 2006 On 24 November, the PSA met with Department Treasury and Finance (DTF) representatives as part of the consultative process for the transfer of parts of DAIS to DTF and to discuss the development of Shared Services across the Public Sector. PSA MATERNITY LEAVE WIN 27 October 2006 PSA has achieved an early commencement date for the increased paid maternity leave that is a key part of the Government's 2006 EB offer. PSA SECURES EXTRA RESOURCES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PUBLIC ADVOCATE 26 October 2006 Earlier this year the Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) was provided with additional resources that would assist with workloads. These resources were provided following the commencement of industrial action within the OPA. OFFER 11 October 2006 On Thursday 5 October 2006 the Government provided the PSA with its 102 page offer to State Government workers. TRANSITION: DAIS-DTEI 26 September 2006 On Monday 25th September 2006 PSA President Mr Lindsay Oxlad and PSA Industrial Officer Michael thorpe met with DTEI Chief Executive Mr Jim Hallion to hear details of approaches to the transition of significant DAIS Business Units into DTEI. PSA OBTAINS RE-ASSURANCE ON NO FORCED REDUNDANCIES 14 September 2006 The PSA has received a re-assurance from the Premier regarding the State Government's commitment to its policy of no forced redundancies in the Public Sector.
