DENTIST DEAL UPDATE The
Chief Executive of Department of Health has written to the PSA
advising that the "management/leadership allowance is payable to
eligible Dental Officers (DSOs) in addition to the 10% attraction and
retention allowance and is considered as part of base salary in the
calculations of employee entitlements."
As members are aware, on 4 October 2007 before the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the PSA raised concerns regarding the implementation of recently agreed outcomes that provided increases in base salaries for all purposes. Additionally, the PSA highlighted concerns regarding the payment of a further increase to all DSO3 Clinical leaders in addition to the 10% increases for all Dentists. The PSA is pleased to note that the agreement reached on 8 August 2007 has finally been honoured in its entirety.
