COUNTRY HEALTH SA FINANCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE DIRECTORATE ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE PROCESS FOR TRANSITION

The transition process proposed for permanent staff is as follows. The process will begin with staff classified at the ASO8 and ASO7. Once these positions are filled the same process will apply for other positions.

Country Health SA will provide staff with the opportunity to nominate their preferences (1, 2, 3) for the positions available at their level. CHSA will then try and match their preferences with the 80/20 translation to give the best possible outcome for both staff and the structure.

Shortly, CHSA staff will receive a letter detailing positions in the new finance structure at their substantive classification level. Staff will be requested to indicate their preferences for the positions with number 1 being their first preference.

  • CHSA cannot guarantee that you will get the preference that you have indicated, but will work to accommodate where possible.

  • Your preferences will be matched against CHSA translation criteria for each position to ensure you are a match for the position.

  • Your current work location will be strongly considered in matching you to a position.

  • The work location for all new positions in the Structure under the CHSA Parent, do not have a specified location requirement. Therefore all staff are a potential location match to these positions.

  • If you do not indicate any preferences, CHSA translation criteria will be used to consider the placement of you into a position.

The translation criteria have been determined to enable the assessment of a >80% compatible match of each staff member's current Job & Person Specification to each new J&P Position. The criteria area:

  1. Current work location

  2. Current permanent FTE

  3. Close match of current J&P to responsibility level of new position.

  4. Close match of current J&P to the types of duties in the new position.

The PSA has indicated concerns at the lack of ASO3 positions in the new structure. This issue is to be further considered by CHSA.
