COUNTRY HEALTH SA FINANCE RESTRUCTURE ASO3 POSITIONS

Following concerns raised by PSA about the lack of ASO3 positions in the new Country Health finance structure the following response has been received from George Beltchev, Country Health SA Chief Executive;

In relation to the lack of ASO3 positions, some further review may be warranted once the higher level positions have been filled.

Factors that will influence the decision will be the assessed impact of Shared Services post the due diligence process currently underway, the work being undertaken by ASO3 staff currently vis a vis their current job and person descriptions and the impact of the proposed business centers where currently these do not exist.

In developing the proposed finance structure, the initial assessment was that a number of the ASO3 staff would in fact be better classified at the ASO4 level given the increased breadth of work from the implementation of the business centers.

When the more senior level in the restructure have been finalized, and the potential impact of Shared Services better understood. I will review the lower level positions again to ensure the best possible outcomes for Country Health SA as well as the individuals affected”.
