AMBULATORY AND PRIMARY HEALTH CARE INDUSTRIAL LIAISON FORUM
New Service Structure A new service structure has been created to replace the service previously known as Step Down. The new structure is to be named 'Kanggawdoli' and is currently in the process of being built. The draft HR principles have been developed and have been provided to the PSA for comment and approval. Some staff may be affected by this process as the structure is expected to be a 24 hour, seven days a week functioning system. Those members currently on temporary contracts will need to have their contracts renewed in accordance with this change. Members should contact the PSA to discuss any concerns they may have. Proposed Functional Consolidation of Organisation Structure for A&PHCD (Ambulatory and Primary Health Care Directorate) The PSA were notified of this proposed consolidation. Changes identified include reporting line relationships and some staff relocations. All staff required to move will be consulted. The PSA's view is that nobody should be forced to move. A staff forum is being held by the Executive Director on 22 May 2008 to commence the consultation process with staff. Members and the PSA have both been provided with a copy of the draft organisational structure in preparation for the upcoming forum. Please direct any comments or concerns to the PSA so that they may be discussed with management. GP Plus Centres Three new GP Plus centres will be built by the beginning of 2010. The CBD centre will be the first to be constructed. A service structure is currently being developed and has gone to Cabinet for approval. It is expected that some allied health services may be relocated. If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact your Worksite Representatives or PSA Industrial Officer Carly Cooper 8205 3285, clc@cpsu.asn.au PSA WORKING FOR MEMBERS IN PRIMARY HEALTH 21 May 2008
