PAY DELAY
This morning the PSA was contacted by the Executive Director, Shared Services SA to be advised of the delay in the payment of salaries for 700 country health employees. Specifically, the Barossa and Riverland regions who would normally have their accounts credited overnight are yet to be paid. Shared Services SA have guaranteed that accounts will be credited today. The PSA sought commitment that all periodical payments, direct debits and any other arrangements that members may have with their financial institutions will be honored without cost to the employee affected. Shared Services SA have indicated that they have spoken to the financial institutions involved and no employee will be penalised in any way as a result of this delay. Should any member experience any difficulties as a result of this error, please contact Shared Services immediately. In conclusion, the PSA is committed to ensuring that its' members are paid correctly, and importantly, on time. Since the introduction of Shared Services the PSA has warned the Government that issues arising as described above are unacceptable and can not be tolerated. Should you have any queries please contact PSA Industrial Officer Simon Johnson on 8205 3261 or e-mail spj@cpsu.asn.au.
