MEMBERS DISADVANTAGED BY SA DENTAL SERVICE TRAVEL POLICY

The PSA is very concerned that members, especially in country areas, are being disadvantaged by being asked to travel to other clinics, other than those clinics that they were first appointed to.

PSA advises members that they are under no obligation to use their private vehicle for work purposes, and should refuse to do so.

The PSA has raised 'Travel' issues at the SA Dental Service Industrial Liaison Forum on several occasions and SA Dental Service has recently been seeking the Department of Health's view on the definition of business travel whereby members are expected to travel from home, pick up a government car and then travel to another clinic outside of their local area.

If any member is having concerns or feel that they are being disadvantaged by travel issues within SA Dental Service, please email PSA Industrial Officer Margie Lindley on mcl@cpsu.asn.au
