HOUSING SA SERVICE DELIVERY REVIEW DISPUTE ESCALATES

PSA Housing Worksite Representatives met on 23 August and resolved that the Service Delivery dispute be escalated.

Department for Families and Communities management provided written confirmation of major points arising from a meeting with PSA on Tuesday 21 August. These points were discussed at the meeting following detailed reports from PSA Industrial Officers.

Importantly, the management confirmation included a commitment that the status quo remain until the dispute was resolved. Despite this, an email was forwarded to selected staff within Housing SA regarding the Service Delivery Review in contravention of that commitment.

Today's meeting considered all of these factors and resolved that:

"PSA is extremely concerned that misinformation is continuing to be distributed throughout Housing SA re the Service Delivery Review despite the Director Human Services giving assurances in a meeting of 21 August that this would not occur and this meeting of PSA Housing SA Worksite Representatives resolves that this dispute be escalated to a higher level by the direct involvement of the Public Sector Workforce Development Division"

PSA is intent on resolving this dispute in ways that ensure accurate information on the Review is provided to members to enable their involvement in consultation before decisions are taken and to ensure that members rights are protected.

The resolution passed today means that the dispute will now go to the next stage of the Dispute Settling Procedure within the current Enterprise Agreement.

Members will continue to be kept informed of developments.
