HOUSING SA TRANSITION PROCESS
To
clarify the process of filling Housing Officer and Housing Officer
(Aboriginal) positions, as part of the transition into a new
organizational structure, set out below is an extract from
correspondence the PSA received from DFC on 1/11/07. A complete copy
of DFC's letter and the PSA's reply can be found on the PSA website. “The Team Leader selection process will be completed. Upon nomination of the Team Leaders, staff within identified work groups (Housing Managers etc) will be placed in their location of choice where possible, taking into consideration organisational requirements and appropriate skill and experience mix. “Letters will be sent to staff in mid December confirming their position as Housing Officer/Housing Officer (Aboriginal) and their region. Any residual vacancies in the Housing Officer/Housing Officer (Aboriginal) roles at the conclusion of the transition will in the first instance be quarantined to any unassigned staff." Subsequent to the above, members have received transition letters from DFC. The letters are an integral part of the process and are consistent with the PSA's understanding of the new structure that is to be established arising from the Reform process. Non participation in the transition process will result in an "unplaced” status. Effectively this will result in redeployment of the employee and uncertainty as to where you may be ultimately placed. The PSA therefore recommends that the transition letters be signed. Any queries on the above can be directed to Steve Acton on sja@cpsu.asn.au or 8205 3264. PSA WORKING FOR MEMBERS 28 November 2007 |
