WORK LEVEL DEFINITIONS - REVIEW
Please see below an email that was received this afternoon from Public Sector Workforce Division. It seems it will not be long now before the discussion paper based on submission to the review, will be made available. As soon as the discussion paper is received I will forward the document to you and organise for us to meet and discuss the PSA response. Thanks for your patience in relation to this Review. Regards, Gayle Peak ASSISTANT cHIEF iNDUSTRIAL oFFICER PSA Hi all, In accordance with the terms of reference for the review of the PO, MeS and GFSc work level definitions, a discussion paper should have been provided by the PSWD to the Employee Representatives Consultative Group (ERCG) and the Employer Representative Consultative Group (ECG) for comment by 28 April 2008. However, as a number of submissions to the review were received by PSWD after the closing date of 16 March 2008 in the terms of reference, the distribution of the discussion paper has unfortunately been delayed. PSWD has now prepared a draft discussion paper, which requires the approval of the PSWD Executive. Once this approval has been obtained, which is expected to be by 21 May 2008, the discussion paper will be forwarded to members of the ERCG and the ERG for comment. In accordance with the terms of reference, the discussion paper will summarise the submissions made and indicate which of the issues are supported as agreed matters. PSWD will also determine in the paper which matters are beyond the scope of the review and/or may offend the No Extra Claims provision in the South Australian Government Wages Parity (Salaried) Enterprise Agreement 2006, and, as a result, have not been listed as agreed matters. After PSWD has received feedback on the discussion paper from the ERCG and ERG, PSWD will consult with the parties about any comments made and issues raised that have the most support of the employers and the employee associations.
