PSA as a key stake holder representing members in the Primary Health Directorate has been advised by Michelle Noort Executive Director Operations Ambulatory and Primary Health Care Central Northern Adelaide Health Service(CNAHS) of a proposed functional consolidation of the Ambulatory and Primary Health Care Directorate organisational structure.

The strategic functional consolidation is in line with the realigned (CNAHS) Executive organisational structure , and the subsequent establishment of the Ambulatory and Primary Health Care Directorate.

The functional consolidation will have minimal impact on the majority of staff, however it will effect the reporting line relationships for some positions in the management levels of the Directorate and as such some staff may be required to relocate as a result.

On 22 May 2008 staff forums for the Directorate will be held. A staff news letter on the proposal including the draft organisational structure will be provided to all staff in preparation for the staff forum.

Following feedback from staff it is intended that the proposed structure be submitted to the Regional Management Team, CNAHS by mid June 2008 or endorsement.

Following endorsement a transitional plan will be developed to commence implementation of the new structure.

Consultation on the A&PHCD will be through the Primary Health Care Directorate Industrial Liaison Forum.
