MODBURY HOSPITAL INDUSTRIAL LIAISON FORUM
The
following are the key agenda items emanating from the meeting: The hospital has finished the year with a good financial outcome. The next year will allow funds for the continuation of improvements in infrastructure and clinical equipment. More information will be provided by the next ILF meeting. Leave Entitlements Members have reported to PSA that since the transfer from Healthscope to the government that there have been leave record discrepancies. This issue has now been referred to the Crown in order to get the correct information from Healthscope. Management will also obtain a progress report and will report back to staff in the near future. State Health Plan The Modbury Hospital was not part of the Paxtons Report however comments were made about the possibility of some services working in coordination with Lyell McEwen hospital. Discussions have only just begun on this issue. Those services affected may include Palliative Care and Medical Oncology, however no information is confirmed at this point. Administrative Review PSA questioned the progress of the management initiated reclassification process for members working on the switchboard and front of house. PSA has asked for a clear timeline so that this lengthy process may be brought to an end. The
next ILF is scheduled for September 2008. This is an excellent
opportunity to raise and effectively resolve worksite issues. Members
are encouraged to take an active role and to provide any input and
issues for discussion for future forums.
