INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE - SHARED SERVICES

IN THE MATTER of

a dispute between South Australian Government (Department of Health)

and

the Public Service Association of South Australia Inc. in the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia

MATTER No. 6259 of 2008

This matter was first heard on Friday 3rd October 2008. As part of the PSA's submission on the financial losses and other difficulties that the Government's decision would cause members, a letter to the Government dated 5th March 2008, which included statements from members collected in February 2008, was tabled. This demonstrated that the Government has been aware for a considerable period of time, of the disadvantages to members.

More recently, the PSA has asked members to fill out and return to the PSA a “Statement of Potential Loss” form. The PSA has received 68 of these which can be used in further negotiations in the Commission. These negotiations will commence on Friday 17th October 2008 at 9.30am when a time-table of meetings before the Commissioner will be agreed.

Affected PSA members are entitled to attend these meetings. If any members would like to tell the Commissioner how the planned changes, to their employment, will adversely affect them, please contact Ian Peak as below.

For further enquiries, please contact PSA Acting Assistant Chief Industrial Officer Ian Peak on phone (08) 8205 3294 or email ian@cpsu.asn.au
