The PSA attends regular bi-monthly meetings with TQEH Management and was represented by PSA Industrial Officer Margie Lindley. The following key agenda items were discussed at the December 2008 meeting.

Redevelopment

The Stage 2B plan of the Commissioning of the new Research Building, decanting of current Basil Hetzel Buiding and the commencement of the demolition of the Maternity Building (Northern End) to make way for Aged Care & Rehabilitation is going to plan.

The Basil Hetzel Building is being occupied and proceeding well. The parking in the surrounding areas of this building will be for public parking.

General Managers (TQEH and RAH)

The new General Manager of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has been announced and is
Ms Michelle McKay who will commence on 12^th January 2009. Ms McKay will officially be at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital from 19^th January 2009 after a week of orientation.

The new General Manager of The Royal Adelaide Hospital is Ms Lyndsay Gough who will commence on 12^th January 2009.

Strategic Research Directions – Review of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research

A report was recently issued titled 'TQEH Review of Research Report 15-19/08'. The PSA sought clarification as to the status of the report.

An HR consultant will formally be involved at the committee meetings to ensure HR Principles are being adhered to and report to TQEH Industrial Liaison Forum. The next meeting is planned for February 2009.
