TRANSITION OF HEALTH EMPLOYEES
INDEPENDENT CLASSIFICATION REVIEW OUTCOME


The Public Service Association (PSA) as a key stake holder in Shared Services SA has received advice from Mr Damian Bourke, Executive Director, Shared Services SA regarding the independent review of classification levels for transitioning SA Health employees.

Members will recall Mr Greg Stevens, former Deputy President of the SA Industrial Relations Commission together with Mr Alan Green, Principal Consultant, Department of the Premier and Cabinet were chosen as the independent assessors.

The independent assessors undertook a comprehensive consultation process, including discussions with 50% of employees who applied, Representatives from SA Health, Shared Services SA and PSA.

Following the investigation undertaken and the assessment of all applications against the SA Classification Standards, the independent assessors have advised of the following outcome:

10 applications were successful within Payroll Services as follows:

  • 2 X ASO5 to ASO6

  • 6 X ASO4 to ASO5

  • 2 X ASO3 to ASO4

    4 applications were successful within Procure to Pay as follows:

  • 2 X ASO3 to ASO4

  • 1 X ASO2 to ASO3

  • 1X ASO1 to ASO2

The outcomes of the review have been provided to SA Health, who have endorsed the report's recommendations.

Shared Services SA is now in the process of formally notifying each individual employee of the outcome of the report's recommendations.
