The Public Service Association has received documentation from the General Manager, Royal Adelaide Hospital informing them of the proposal to implement Patient Focussed Booking (PFB) in all Outpatient Departments within Functional Services at the Royal Adelaide Hospital from August 2009 with the aim for completion in all areas by 1^st November 2009.

PFB is an integrated appointment management system which will empower the patient to negotiate and book appointments at their convenience. In implementing PFB, administrative staff employed in Outpatient Departments will be required to change work practices.

The PSA has been informed that in order to ensure that all aspects associated with this proposal are considered, arrangements are in place to consult with all affected administrative staff.

The PSA is seeking feed back from all members regarding the implementation of this project.
