CRISIS
RESPONSE UNIT TAKE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
Public
Service Association (PSA) members in Families SA Crisis Response Unit
met on Wednesday 7 October 2009 to discuss the implementation of C3MS
(electronic case management system).
PSA members unanimously
passed the following resolution:
"This
meeting of PSA members at Crisis Response Unit are concerned that the
implementation of C3MS for the purpose of generating Child Protection
notifications fails to meet the needs of the state's most vulnerable
families and children, due to the unnecessary complexity and
inflexible nature of C3MS.
Furthermore,
PSA members believe that continuing with the implementation process
will create an unacceptable unsafe work environment.
Therefore,
it is resolved that as of 7am 8 October 2009 all PSA members at
Crisis Response Unit will not generate intakes on the C3MS System.
All intakes raised will be recorded on the current Client Information
System (CIS).
Further, PSA members call for the total
abolishment of the intake component of C3MS and demand that it be
replaced with an appropriate and better functioning Child Protection
Notification System."
