FAMILIES SA ELIZABETH MEMBERS TAKE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
Public
Service Association (PSA) members at Elizabeth District Centre (DC) met
on Wednesday 21 October 2009 to discuss the implementation of the
Connected Client and Case Management System (C3MS) and the subsequent
impact the roll out has had on the community, members' workloads and
health and safety.
PSA members passed the following resolution:
"In the interests of children's safety, including vulnerable families,
and workers health and safety, this meeting of PSA members employed at
Elizabeth District Centre will cease using C3MS, in its entirety, as of
8.45am, 22 October 2009, until such time as the outstanding issues
raised by members are acknowledged, prioritised and rectified to the
satisfaction of members.
Further, members will not work with any information recorded on C3MS
after this time and will revert to previous practice on CIS until
further notice. In an effort to resolve these issues, Elizabeth
District Centre members are willing to work alongside Crisis Response
Unit members in the same working party, already established for this
purpose."
Meetings of PSA members will continue to occur in worksites where C3MS
has been implemented. Salisbury DC PSA members attended a meeting on
Tuesday 20 October and Onkaparinga DC meetings are scheduled for next
week.
