INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR

During the last few months the PSA has had an increase in allegations of Inappropriate Behaviour at CAA. The PSA is concerned at this increase in allegations.

No PSA member should be subjected to Inappropriate Behaviour, if members feel that are or have been subjected to they should contact the PSA immediately.

PSA members would be aware that the Code Of Conduct for South Australian Public Sector Employees applies to all public servants.

This code has three broad underpinning principles:

Integrity, Respect and Accountability.

The PSM Act 1995 (part 2 , section 6) requires chief executives, and all public sector employees to observe the Code of Conduct. Breaching the Code may result in consequences ranging from reprimand through to termination of employment.

The PSA works with members and worksite representatives to ensure members are not subjected to behaviours that put their health and safety at risk.
