EB BALLOT GOES AHEAD

The ballot for the Enterprise Agreement is currently under way and will continue.

Attempts by the federally registered Health Services Union to delay the democratic election process in the SA Industrial Relations Commission today were unsuccessful, following opposition by both the PSA and Government representatives.

The proposed agreement has been extensively negotiated to reflect the best available outcome, and is supported by PSA Council and Worksite Representatives.

It is PSA's view that no delay in the ballot should occur as this would be detrimental to the dates of effect and many workers, including those seeking to access improved Maternity leave provisions, access to the $600 one-of  payment and the new Allied Health Professional structure and pay rates.

The date of effect for each of these  matters is the date of certification of the agreement following a successful ballot.

PSA urges all employees to attend information sessions, to vote, and to vote YES.
