The proposed Parity Enterprise Agreement has been overwhelmingly endorsed. 

In the ballot process, which concluded today with an exceptionally high return, support for the proposed agreement was:

YES        14,241    (86%)

NO           2,242     (13%)

INFORMAL 121     (1%)

In order to secure the earliest possible date of effect for those changes dependent on the date of certification, an application will be made to the Industrial Relations Commission SA today, Thursday 24 December.

The IRC will be requested to deal with the matter as soon as possible.

The date of effect is particularly important for the introduction of the new Allied Health Professional structure and pay rates, increases to paid Maternity Leave and the one-off $600 payment.
