The announcement by the Minister of Health to develop a comprehensive, state-wide model of care for people with eating disorders within the next three months has been welcomed by the PSA. The unit will continue to operate at the Flinders Medical Centre during this process.

Since the last State Budget, the PSA has called on the Government to review all the decisions arising from the Budget where jobs, and consequently services, will be cut.

The PSA looks forward to an open and transparent process with genuine consultation over the impact on jobs and the community. In a show of goodwill the PSA will not be involved in the planned rally at Parliament House on the 9th February 2011.

PSA members are asked to support the legal challenge in the Supreme Court on 14 February 2011 by attending the rally at 8:45am outside the Supreme Court.
