ADELAIDE HEALTH SERVICE - PROPOSED ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR AREA HEALTH LEADERSHIP AND CORPORATE & CLINICAL SUPPORT LEADERSHIP
The
Public Service Association has been advised by the Adelaide Health
Service (AHS) of the proposed Area Health Leadership and Corporate
& Clinical Support (C&CS) Leadership administrative support
requirements. This administrative restructure is at the next
stage in the filling of administrative positions (after the Office of
the CEO and the Chief Operating Officer structure).
The PSA understands that this is in line with the direction detailed in the 2010 AHS Consultation Paper,
The administrative support requirements were discussed at that time
last year. These proposed organisational structures have been
developed to provide effective administrative leadership and support to
the Offices of the Area Directors and the Director Corporate &
Clinical Support.
The Office of the Area Director (North, Central, South) and the Office
of the Director C&CS will have a Manager (ASO5) position as well as
a number of Executive Assistant (ASO3) roles responsible for the
administrative management the office to which they are aligned.
The Manager, Office of the Area Director/Office of the Director,
C&CS is responsible for providing high level support to the
leadership team, contributing to the progression and effective delivery
of projects, key initiatives and strategic activities within the Office
to which the position is aligned. The Manager is also responsible
for the management of administrative staff within their respective
office.
The Executive Assistant roles will be accountable to the Manager for
the management and co-ordination of a comprehensive administrative
support function to members of the Leadership Team and will undertake
minor project work.
AHS are currently finalising the details of in-scope staff and
indications show that there are no employees at the ASO5 level who will
be included. Therefore, management are proposing that these ASO5
positions will be deemed new positions (quarantined to AHS staff) in
accordance with the HR Principles and Procedures document. The
filling of the ASO3 positions will occur following the appointment to
the ASO5 roles.
