FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES - PEER ASSESSMENT UPDATE

The Public Service Association (PSA) has received many queries from members in relation to the AHP Peer Assessment process. Namely, why is it taking so long?

The PSA recently received an update in respect to the process from  Department for Families and Communities (DFC).

  • The panels have been established.
  • Panels are working through applications.
  • Members are expected to be notified in early August 2011.

Aboriginal Family Practitioners have raised some specific concerns in relation to this process and a meeting with Human Resources has been scheduled in the next fortnight to resolve them.

Some members have questioned why they have been asked to provide additional information to the Peer Assessment Panels and if should they do so. The PSA encourages members to provide this information, as it is likely to assist in members being successful in progressing to AHP2.

Any member who is unsuccessful through this process should contact the PSA.
