ENTERPRISE BARGAINING 2004

SAHT/AHA/SACHA MEMBERS COMMENCE BANS TO GAIN A FAIR DEAL

At 9.30 am on Wednesday 28th January the PSA was provided with a `revised' government offer – a 3.5% per annum pay increase with an additional payment to base grade employees and 8 weeks paid maternity/adoption leave. (This in place of the previous offer of 3% per annum and 6 weeks paid maternity/adoption leave.)

SAHT/AHA/SACHA members have endorsed the following bans:

  1. No Tenant Charges

  2. No log books in cars to be filled in

  3. No Ministerials

This action is occurring simultaneously with other public sector workers. Prison Officers, State Library staff, Lands Titles Officers, Traffic Inspectors and Speed Camera Operators have also commenced strong action to send a clear message to Government that Public Sector workers deserve a fair deal. In addition, further action across the workforce is pending.

Only collective and widespread action will deliver a reasonable outcome.

The PSA appreciates the support of its members. Working collectively will ensure a satisfactory resolution.

Should you have any queries relating to this matter, please do not hesitate to contact PSA Industrial Officer Vanessa Ravenhill on 8205 3251 or Email: vr@cpsu.asn.au
