PSA and Government negotiators appeared before Deputy President Hampton of the Industrial Relations Commission today. DP Hampton also met with the parties separately to explore avenues for the resolution of the dispute. PSA identified members concerns and expectations. As a result of these proceedings, the PSA has issued the following statement :

“PSA has voluntarily agreed not to escalate the current industrial action pending further discussions in the Commission next Wednesday morning to give the Government time to review its position having regard to matters confidentially discussed in the Commission today.”

Existing bans should continue, but should not escalate.
