CAMPAIGN CONTINUES
The PSA appeared at a Voluntary Conference in the Industrial Relations Commission today before Deputy President Peter Hampton. In good faith, PSA agreed voluntarily one week ago not to escalate its campaign in order to allow the Government to review its position regarding the current Enterprise Bargaining offer. PSA was extremely disappointed that the Government position at today's Conference was to justify its current offer, rather than to provide any increase whatsoever. Accordingly, PSA advised the Commission that its voluntary agreement not to escalate the campaign was rescinded. Planning is now underway to finalise the date for the Statewide stoppage endorsed by members last week, together with an escalation of the campaign. Deputy President Hampton will issue a formal statement regarding this morning's Conference, but this is not yet available. The Government had the opportunity to genuinely progress this matter, but has not done so. Government must now carry the responsibility for the action which will now follow. PSA members remain committed to a fair and reasonable outcome. For information contact Chief Industrial Officer, Peter Christopher on 8205 3200 or email: pgc@cpsu.asn.au PSA SECURING A FAIR DEAL
