Friday, 26 March has been determined for the state-wide Public Sector Stoppage for all PSA members covered by the Wages Parity EB negotiations.

Members have clearly demonstrated a strong desire to show the Government that they will not be taken for granted.

Members at the Rally on 24 February 2004, on regional link-ups and meetings, through many hundreds of emails as well as through local worksite meetings have demanded a stoppage.

The Government has not improved its offer and through its public comments made it clear that it has no intention of doing so.

This is not good enough. Members deserve a Fair Deal.

Members want a Public Sector for the future that is properly resourced and reasonably paid.

Members have strongly rejected the divisive nature of the current offer, as well as the fact that it provides for insufficient salary increases.
