PSA appeared before Deputy President Hampton in the Industrial Relations Commission yesterday. This date had been previously scheduled and did not arise from the scheduling of the Day of Action on 26 March.

At yesterday's voluntary conference the Government sought a recommendation that the stoppage not proceed. DP Hampton did not agree and instead recommended that Government negotiate with PSA prior to a scheduled conference on 18 March.

Members should continue to make arrangements to stop work on 26 March and identify for PSA any emergency areas of membership that need to be maintained.
