“The Public Service Association today calls upon the Government to revise its latest pay offer” said General Secretary of the PSA Jan McMahon.

“The State wide stoppage of Public Sector workers has clearly demonstrated the wide spread rejection of the Government's offer and it is time that Minister Wright started seriously negotiating”.

Ms McMahon describe as “ludicrous” statements by the Minister that only 10% of the State Public Sector workforce stopped work today.

“If the Minister has this amount of trouble counting, no wonder he can't get our pay claim right” said Ms McMahon.

“The PSA calls upon the Government to start treating this matter with the seriousness it deserves if it wants to avoid a further escalation of the dispute” said Ms McMahon.
