COURTS AFFECTED BY PSA WAGES CAMPAIGN

A mass meeting of PSA Representatives was held at the PSA yesterday.

Resolutions were passed unanimously which indicated the depth of anger amongst members at the failure of the Government to attempt a fair resolution to the PSA's modest and entirely reasonable claim.

Members walk off the job

Sheriffs Officers and Courts Reporters at Sir Samuel Way Building walked off the job this morning as part of the PSA campaign.

A picket was immediately formed. Prison vans were turned back and prisoners were returned to various Adelaide prisons. Courts sittings ceased.

The PSA members have resolved to strengthen their campaign further. There will be no backing down.

PSA General Secretary, Jan McMahon has again urged Industrial Relations Minister, Michael Wright to intervene and take genuine steps to resolve the dispute.
