PSA appeared before a Full Bench of the SA Industrial Relations Commission today. Commission President, His Honour, Senior Judge Jennings, delivered a statement which included the following:

“there is a prima facie case for the making of an interim award in part settlement of the enterprise bargaining dispute”.

Furthermore,

“In our view, the adoption of at least some salary adjustment in all of the circumstances of this case would appear to be warranted and appropriate”.

Prior to the potential making of an interim Award, the Full Bench has determined to seek further submissions on a number of matters. A further hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday 22 September 2004 at 9:30a.m.
