On
5 May 2005, in an historic decision, the Full Bench of the South
Australian Industrial Relations Commission (SAIRC) awarded 12 weeks
paid maternity/adoption leave for those members covered by the former
'Parity Agreement'.
The
PSA was advised today, 10 June by the Deputy Industrial Registrar of
the SAIRC that draft Minutes of Order have been set down for
settlement on Friday, 17 June 2005 at 9.30am.
Once
this occurs on 17 June, members will be able to access the 12 week
entitlement.
The
date of effect is 5 May 2005, but the Confirmation of Minutes is a
procedural process which is necessary to formalise the paid maternity
leave/adoption leave matter.
