PSA LAUNCHES MEDIA CAMPAIGN
Members have been previously advised of the announcement by the
Opposition to cut 4000 public sector jobs.

PSA Council considered that such an attack upon the public sector
could not go unchallenged, and authorised a campaign accordingly.

Feedback from members was that they valued the services that they
provide to the community and wanted such services to be able to be
properly provided, not cut.

The PSA will fight the proposal to reduce services to the community
through a wide-ranging advertising and media campaign. In addition, PSA
commissioned independent research through the University of Adelaide to
highlight the impact of losing 4000 public sector jobs and the services
that they provide.

The first ad rolls out tonight, with more to come.

Further details, including the university research, are on this site at the
2006 State Election page.
