AGENCY BUDGET REVIEWS 

As members are aware the Treasurer has commissioned Mr Greg Smith to
review all Agency Budgets. Chief Executives have provided proposals to
meet Government demands for cost cuts.
While sections of Health, Education and Police may be beneficiaries of
Government funding changes, significant concerns are held in respect to
all agencies ability to properly deliver services in future. This is on
top of current resource problems being experienced now by many members.
Thank you to the many members who have advised of the likely impact of
cut backs in their areas. Such information will prove vital to a PSA
campaign in the near future aimed at defending and promoting the value
of work undertaken by members.
