20 September 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
These courses are designed to help members get the most out of their union membership by knowing the services that are provided to members. This includes both industrial and non-industrial benefits.

Unions can and do make a difference to our working lives.

PSA members need to be aware of the history and philosophy of unionism and also to be aware of the challenges that face public sector workers in the current tough economic times. The PSA is there to protect you and your work colleagues and to protect not only conditions of employment but the important services that public sector workers provide to the community. You need to know your rights and responsibilities in the workplace and how by working together you can make workplaces happier, safer, and more productive.

As a union member you might like to get more involved. Your involvement will make a difference because you can and do change things. We can't change the world overnight but bit by bit we can and do. You have started the process by becoming a union member. Next step may be to become more involved. The choice is yours but come along and learn more. It's an interesting day you will enjoy.
