LEAVE LOADING UPDATE

The Public Service Association (PSA) wrote to the Executive Director of Families SA on 17 August 2007, in response to a number of complaints received from members in relation to not receiving their leave loading at the time of leave.

The Executive Director responded on 28 August 2007, agreeing with PSA members that leave loading should be paid at the time of leave. However, in order for this to occur, the Payroll Section needs to receive leave applications 20 days prior to the commencement of leave.

Should this issue arise in the future, take these steps to address it.

  • Notify your line supervisor or Business Manager

  • Contact your Industrial Officer

The PSA expects this issue to be resolved for all members. Should this issue continue, the PSA will take up more formal proceedings with Families SA.

If you have any questions please contact Industrial Officer Jean-Guy Townsend on
