DRAFT HR PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SA PATHOLOGY SERVICE
The PSA and other unions (ANF, SASMOA, APESMA and the LHMU), involved in the consultation process for the establishment of the new SA Pathology Service, have been negotiating a revised Human Resource Principles and Procedures document that was released last year by the Department of Health. This draft has been agreed in principal by the unions, and is now on this website for members to make comment by close of business on Friday 9th March 2008. The PSA will be holding a series of Information Sessions on the revised draft HR Principles in the worksites week commencing Monday 3 March 2008. The dates of those meetings are being arranged and members will be advised shortly. At the last HR Sub-Committee Meeting for the establishment of the single pathology service, it was announced that the Functional Advisory Groups have been established. Concerns were raised about the number of groups established, the membership, Terms of Reference and how the outcomes from these groups will be appropriately consulted upon prior to any implementation. Membership and the Terms of Reference for each group has now been provided to the unions. The Groups established are:
