HEALTH PERFORMANCE COUNCIL

The Health Minister, the Hon John Hill, has invited the PSA to provide nominees to be considered for appointment to the newly created Health Performance Council.

The Health Performance Council takes effect from 1 July 2008 as a result of the passage of the Health Care Act 2008.

Membership of the Council will comprise up to fifteen members who, amongst other criteria, are required to have a high level of knowledge of, and expertise in, the provision of health care or the administration of health services.

Expressions of interest, which can be lodged by email to psalist @cpsu.asn.au, are sought from suitably qualified members who wish to be considered as nominees.

In order to allow PSA to consider nominations prior to the lodgment date, expressions of interest should be forwarded to the PSA by Friday 2nd May 2008.
